Welcome to the Rainbow Room Blog. My purpose for this blog is to provide another way to communicate with parents and family members the highlights we have shared with your children. One of my reference books I like for this age group is from a series of books by child psychologists, on developmental stages. The book for the 4 year old is entitled Your Four Year Old, Wild and Wonderful. I see this year as the year the child goes from being an introverted child to exploring relationships with their peers and developing their sense of self It's an amazing time and I thank you for allowing me to share in these moments with your child. We will encourage your child to participate in learning activities that are fun and interactive. The children will develop sustained silent reading skills that will establish early literacy habits.
